ADVOCACY

The Connecting Cultures Program advocates for the humane treatment of all beings across the globe and vehemently opposes the use of torture in any context.

Our advocacy efforts include connecting with and building networks of providers and organizations that also advocate for local and global policies enforcing humane practices and opposing torture.

Some of our advocacy efforts include:

1. Affiliation with the National Consortium of Torture Treatment Programs (NCTTP) which testifies nationally and internationally against torture

2. Presentations at national and international conferences

3. Research resulting in publications in leading journals
